Chris Cotone, CEO
Chris founded Lightscape Lighting & Equipment in 2013 and has since grown the company to locations in Los Angeles and Atlanta.
Prior to his executive experience, Chris was a lighting designer, lighting programmer, and educator, working first in the New York theatre scene, and then transitioning to film and television as a member of I.A.T.S.E Local 728, where he worked as a programmer and gaffer. Titles include Westworld, Terminator Genisys and Jason Bourne.
Chris is ETCP certified, and a recognized trainer, and has taught hundreds of classes for IATSE Locals around the country, including Los Angeles, Atlanta, New Mexico, New Orleans, Florida, Chicago & Puerto Rico, as well as teaching master classes in Manila, the Philippines for the national network ABS-CBN.
Chris received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley and attended graduate school in Lighting Design at The California Institute of the Arts under famed broadway designer, Donald Holder. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in ”Education & Training Program Development” to further Lightscape’s training excellence.
He lives in Valencia, California, is the dad of Jenny and Harrison, and loves golf, skiing, snowmobiling, hockey and baseball.
Rob Russell, COO
Rob Russell is a native South Carolinian who has enjoyed an exciting career in the entertainment industry as a production electrician and programmer. After graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering from Clemson University, Rob decided to ignore conventional wisdom and leaned on his hard earned technical knowledge and problem solving abilities to get an entry level job as a production assistant.
Looking to establish a more stable career after six years of touring, he found his way into the Atlanta production market in 2007. Since that time, Rob has worked extensively in stage performances as well as film and television projects such as The Walking Dead, BET Hip Hop Awards, a string of Marvel films, and the Superbowl LIII Halftime Show. He currently holds a lighting director position on Family Feud with Steve Harvey.
Rob has always placed a specific emphasis on training and continuing education in the entertainment industry. In 2008, he became the first IATSE member to achieve the ETCP Entertainment Electrician certification in the state of Georgia.
In March 2022, Rob accepted an opportunity to become a member of the Lightscape/Blue Planet team. After 20 plus years of working on productions of all types, he is excited to be able to support the industry from the vendor side. He currently serves as the head of crew services and enjoys introducing the myriad of products offered by Lightscape and Blue Planet to our customers.
When not engaging in something lighting related, Rob can be found hanging with his wife, dogs and cat. His hobbies are disc golfing, playing backgammon, reading, attending live music events, and on the lucky occasion, Scuba diving.
Kenyatta Everett, Warehouse and Logistics Manager
Kenyatta (Yatta) Everett is a dedicated warehouse professional at Lightscape Lighting & Equipment with over five years of experience in logistics and inventory management. With a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic, Yatta excels in organizing and optimizing warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Skilled in operating forklifts, managing shipments, and implementing safety protocols, Yatta is committed to maintaining a smooth workflow while prioritizing workplace safety. A team player with excellent communication skills, Yatta thrives in fast-paced environments and is always ready to tackle new challenges in the warehouse industry.

Nate Saint, Director of Business Development
Nate Saint brings an impressive and diverse background to Lightscape, with a decorated history as a former Marine and a graduate of Indiana State University with a major in Behavioral Psychology and a minor in Business Communications. With over 15 years of experience in professional leadership roles and a solid foundation in film and TV production, Nate is poised to make significant contributions to our company.
His extensive professional journey includes a remarkable 10+ years dedicated to film and TV production, specifically in the lighting department. Notably, Nate spent 8 years with MBS, where he played a pivotal role in developing the east coast operations. During his time at MBS, he created the first east coast Rental Agent Manual and provided instruction to Georgia-based rental agents. Additionally, Nate conducted leadership seminars for Operations Managers in Georgia.
Nate's commitment to community involvement is evident through his direction and design of lighting for numerous company-sponsored charity events. His creative talents also extend to serving as the Lighting Designer for the Atlanta Film Festival Opening/Closing Galas from 2017 to 2019. Furthermore, he has demonstrated his skills as a writer, director, and gaffer for several music videos, including the EPK for "Halloween Ends."
