Description

Intro to MadMapper — Lightscape Lab Training Series

Step into the world where lighting, projection, pixels, and lasers all speak the same language.

This hands-on class is designed for anyone — whether you’ve never heard of projection mapping or you’re ready to expand your programming toolkit. Intro to MadMapper will show you how to use projectors as lighting instruments, create dynamic pixel-mapped environments, and build immersive visual looks used in film, live events, and music-driven content.

We’re kicking things off with a full-scale demo set to “Sht’s On Fire”* — a real-world look at how lighting, projection, and media can sync together to create something unforgettable.

  • How to use projection as lighting (textures, gobos, environmental washes)

  • Laser integration and control within a lighting system

  • Media routing, playback, and audio-reactive lighting techniques

  • Real-world workflows for film, music videos, and live production

  • Integration with tools like Eos, MIDI controllers, and more

  • Work directly with lighting consoles, LED fixtures, and projectors

  • Build and experiment with your own pixel-mapped looks

  • Learn practical techniques used on real productions

Who This Is For

  • Lighting programmers (all levels)
